I am deeply honored to have been named one of the finalists for the News-Press People of the Year award. Truthfully, the fact that my name is mentioned in the same breath as past finalists and winners of this award, many of whom are philanthropic and business heroes of mine, is truly mind blowing. I’m particularly honored to be recognized this year along side the other two finalists, Sarah Owen and Judy Lee and Judy Beaumont. Sarah is a true thought leader in the field of philanthropy who challenges all of us to be more effective in how we give our time, talent and treasure in our community. Judy Lee and Judy Beaumont represent real grassroots, selfless, charity and missionary work. Judy and Judy minister to those in our community that need it the most. They are kind souls that Monica and I admire very much.
There are many people that I need to thank in due time, however I want to extend my sincere thanks now to my incredible friends who took time to nominate me for this recognition including Bryon McCartney and Kellie Nolan, Carol Conway, Colleen DePasquale, Christin Collins, Trent Howe, Ryan Carter and Alicia Allen. Monica and I are very fortunate to have each of you in our lives.
